She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Jack Luther and Lela Etha Watson Reagan; and her granddaughter Emma Faith Hooper. She is survived by: her husband Tony E. Newman; her children, Chris Newman (Cindy) of Elkin, Anita Carter (Chris) of Elkin and Robin Hooper (Ken) of Elkin; her niece Amy N. Lineberry (Buddy) of Hamptonville; her grandchildren, Lance Newman, McKenzie Jordan (Stephen), Devin Jaros (Greg), Sydney Martin (Luke), Ellie Berry (Tucker) and Mary-Claire Hooper; and her siblings, Virgil Reagan (Veronica) of Thurmond and Phyllis Hinson of State Road. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church PO Box 38 State Road, NC 28676.
