She was predeceased by: her parents, Tyra Gentry and Martha Hutchinson Gentry; and her siblings, Paul, Ralph, Vaughn, Ray Gentry, Grace Poplin and Erma Hayes.
She is survived by: her husband William Thomas "Bill" Lyon; her children, Danny Lyon (Karen) of Elkin and Tammy Prevette (Randy) of Thurmond; her grandchildren, Kayla Westra (Coad) and Dillon Prevette (DeAnna); and her great grandchildren, Inezleigh Westra, Iselle Westra, Esma Westra, Eiris Westra, Liam Prevette and Analiese Prevette.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church.
