He is survived by: his wife Reneé Bovender; his children, Michael Bovender of Elkin, Steve "Bogie" Bovender of Elkin and Sharron Bovender of Belmont; and his grandchildren, Mason Bovender of Atlanta, GA and Maddox Bovender of Elkin.
