It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Greene Spicer of Thurmond, North Carolina, who passed away on August 5, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Greene and Bessie Barnes Greene; her husband Ralph Spicer; her siblings, Ned Greene, Mae Whitaker and Mary Ann Graf; and her sisters-in-law, Tootsie Spicer and Bonnie Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn Spicer of Thurmond and LyVa Prevette of North Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Sandi Waddell (Shane), Brandi Childress (Jason), Laney Prevette and Brendan Prevette; her great grandchildren, J. R. Nance Jodi Childress (Elissa) and Amy Childress; her sister Dorothy Higgins (David) of Hays; and her siblings-in-law, Maxine Macemore (Kenneth) of Jonesville and David Smith of Hamptonville.
