He was predeceased by: his parents, John Boles and Lula Sechrist Boles; his wife Margaret Kirby Boles; and his siblings, Hazel Bowles and Bobby Boles.

He is survived by: his children, Jerry Boles (Annette), Tommy Boles (Terri), Ronnie Boles (Jan) and Tammy Melton (Don); and his friends, Jason Gibson, Mike Hussey, Rodney Decker, David Miller, Roy Lane, Wayne Conrad and Jimmy Davis. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
