With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wanda Robinette Merrill of Thomasville, North Carolina, born in Baltimore, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2024 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Leonard and Pauline Cranford Leonard; her husband Gary Don Merrill; and her brothers, Preston Moyer Leonard and Tony Ray Leonard.
She is survived by: her children, Vanessa Jackson (Bryan) of Thomasville and Rodney Merrill (Mandy) of Lexington; her sisters, Phyllis Schreck, Jodi Newell (David) and Lisa Simerson (Keith); her grandchildren, Lauren Olshinski (Sam), Jocelynn Irvine (Cody), Lindsay Watts (Tyler) and Rylee Merrill; her great grandchildren, Lydia Brooke Olshinski, Henry Matthew Olshinski and Reid Watts of Arizona; and her close friends, Margaret Hepler, Barbara Hampton and Linda Barnett. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
