With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stella Saunders of Thomasville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 3, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Nelson Shores and Leona Hollman Shores; her husband Willie Newton Saunders; her sons, Paul Garris (Spider) and David Lee Garris (Doc); her brothers, Nelson Shores, Ray Shores and David Shores (Boss Hog); her great grandchildren, Aliyah Garris, Jerry Dean Garris, III (MoMo) and Jay Garris; and her sisters, Mildred Stewart and Mary Hunt.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry Garris, Jimmy Ray Garris and Jackie Flowers; and her sister Velma Driver. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and many beloved great-grandchildren.
