With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Margaret Hoover Barnes (Thomasville, North Carolina), who passed away on November 8, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Billy Hoover and Nancy Fine; and her son Archie Barnes II. She is survived by: her spouse Archie Lee Barnes; her daughters, Arlee Boylen (Mark) of Archdale, Sandy Cook (Martin) of High Point and Sherri Gilbert (Preston) of High Point; her grandchildren, Brett Boylen, Brittany Boylen Beaver, Chelsea Cook Andrews, Alexander Cook, Madison Barnes, Phoenix Barnes and Peyton Gilbert; her great grandchildren, Eloise, Winston Andrews, Emma and Hank Beaver; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Harmon, Dorothy Hoover and Marilyn Barnes; and her daughter-in-law Tracy Hicks Barnes.
