With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Norton Gordon (Thomasville, North Carolina), born in Bladenboro, North Carolina, who passed away on June 24, 2018 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parent Archie Norton; and her sister Pearl Carver. She is survived by: her parent Annie McGee Norton; her child Linnie Plowman (Don) of Thomasville; her husband Linnie Plowman (Don); her children, James Nance (Wanda), David Nance, Ray Nance, Joey Nance and Pearl Carver; her siblings, Esther Justice, Cornelius "Bo" Norton (Bonnie), Albert Norton and Luke Norton; and her grandchildren, Thad, Craig, Timothy, Tanner, Bethany, Shannon, Kelly, Justin, Tyler, Jason, Peaches and David. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
