With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rufus Edgar Richey (Thomasville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 8, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frank and Mattie Jarrett Richey; and his nephew Shane Efird. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Luther Richey; his children, Angie Nelson (Rick), Lori Rayburn (Maurice) and Curt Richey (Amy); his grandchildren, Erin Shepherd (Shane), Sam Nelson (Haley), Hannah Sineath (Ryan), Luke Richey and Roxi Rayburn; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Savannah Shepherd, Fletcher, Barrett, Kohen Nelson and Bowen Sineath; his sister Mollie Efird; and his nephew Keath Efird.
