He was predeceased by: his father Robert Wade Ridge; and his siblings, Ann Gaddy, Bettie Robertson and Kenneth Ridge. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Freedle Ridge; his children, Cheri Ridge Conner (Brant) of Thomasville, Misty Ridge (Jeff Johnson) of Thomasville and Jason Stewart (Tabitha) of Trinity; his grandchildren, Jim Conner, Jessie Jordan (Trey), Christopher Caudill, Chazden Saren, Grayson Stewart and Remington Stewart; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Conner, Hannah Caudill, Kristen Caudill, Hunter Caudill, Beau Jordan and Brody Jordan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the hospice organization of the donor's choice.
