It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Harold Hicks formerly of Thomasville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene Petry Hicks; his son Lynn Hicks; and his siblings, TJ Hicks, Roland Hicks, Hoyt Hicks, Ruby Gallimore, Beatrice Summey and Chrissy Jane Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Suggs (Tim) and Rodney Hicks; his siblings, Boogie Hicks, David Hicks (Janet), Hollis Hicks (Elaine), Dallas Hicks, Julia Ruth Tharpe and Donese Trotter (Jimmy); and his grandchildren, Lauren Benfield (Jason), Whitley Boyer (Brandon) and Madison Suggs. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
