He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ellis Samuels, Sr. and Dora Ruth Kennon Samuels; his brothers, David Lee Samuels and James Ellis "Sam" Samuels, Jr.; his nephew Jason Mozingo; his sister-in-law Toni Samuels; and his close friend Doc Sprinkle.
He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Marlene Huskins (James Huskins) of Goldsboro, NC and Billy Ray Samuels of Thomasville; his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Webb of Goldsboro, Misty Mullins (Jeff) of Trinity, Donna Loman (Randy) of Thomasville, Wendy Samuels of Lexington, Sandy Johnson of Thomasville, Rick Huskins of Louisburg and Shane Bell of Thomasville; his sister-in-law Diane Samuels of Thomasville; his friend Danny Bean; his caregiver Jacqueline; and also, Dr. Robert Sprinkle (Doc), Cindy and Terry Leonard.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jc Green and Sons Chapel (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360).
