She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Porter, Sr. and Nellie Woodruff Porter; her sisters, Nina Louise and Bonnie Jane; her grandson Austin Joseph Severt; and her niece Wendy Staley.
She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Hughes; her son Donnie Severt (Paula Bowman); and her siblings, Hubert Porter, Jr., Terry Wayne Porter, Peggy Sue Jarrett (Rickie), Darlene Porter and Geraldine Petty (Dean).
