She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Seng Arend and Frederick Arend; her sisters, Hertha Minard, Edna Ruark and Evelyn Cramer; her grandson Stephen Briggs; and her great grandchild Reid Seals.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Briggs; and her sons, Robert A. (Nancy) of Amelia, OH, John F. (Pamela) of Fayetteville, NC and David S. (Elizabeth) of High Point, NC.. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
