It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Petteway (Thomasville, North Carolina), born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on January 4, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus Petteway and Zoady Holt Petteway; and his daughter Michele Denise Petteway. He is survived by: his wife Melva Ollie Petteway; his sons, Michael DeVonn Petteway (Carrie) of Apex and Marc Darin Petteway (Atiya) of Greensboro; his granddaughter Kaylen James Petteway of Apex; and his siblings, Hughes Petteway (Sallie) of Jacksonville, Althea Reid (Thomas) of Prospect, Connecticut and Zoanne Petteway of Gardenia, California.. He is also survived by adopted daughter, along with countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Transitions Life Care, Hospice of Wake County at 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
