With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maynard Joseph Cheney (Thomasville, North Carolina), born in Orlando, Florida, who passed away on July 2, 2022 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his significant other Elizabeth "Betty" F. Cheney; his son Gregg Cheney; and his son-in-law Tom Hollingsworth. He is survived by: his daughters, Marilyn McAfee (Jim) and Jill Hollingsworth; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Wenzel (Jeff), Daniel McAfee (Brandi) and Joy Jelinski (R. J.). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
