She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hancock and Elsie Summey Hancock; her son Robert Bowers; and her siblings, Wade Hancock, George Hancock, John Hancock and Treva Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Dwight Bowers (Kathy), Wanda Bodenheimer (Michael) and Pauletta Creech; her siblings, David of Thomasville, Bobby Hancock of Thomasville and Martha Kindley of Marion; and her spouse Avery Robert Bowers. She is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
