He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stuart Painter and Annie Mae Kidd Painter; his brother Kenneth Painter; and his grandsons, Jordin Parsons and Dru Painter.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Kidd Painter; his children, Ronnie Painter (Johanna), Brandon Painter (Christine) and Tamara Still (Amanda Still); his sister Janice Levesque; his grandchildren, Destanie Parsons, Dawson Painter, Olivea Parsons and Chloe Painter; and his great grandchildren, Alaina Painter and Jeza Still.
