It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marian Joyce Ray Greeson in Thomasville, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Long Ray and Margaret Armstrong Ray; her husband Robert Lindley Greeson, Sr.; her siblings, Jesse Ray, Stella Clark, Ruth Gulledge and Genie Carter; and her grandson Carlin Greeson.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Shields (Stanley), Bob Greeson, Jr., Sheron Bender (Jay) and Martin Greeson (Heidi); her grandchildren, Roger LaGuardia (Jaymi), Nick LaGuardia, Kelly LaGuardia Cox (Sean), Bob Greeson, III (Amber), Bryan Bender (Jeanne), Rebecca Bender, Katja Greeson, Mary Beth Orr, Isaac Orr, Gerri Wright and Beth Orman; and her great grandchildren, Julie LaGuardia, Dixon Bender, Hannah Cox and Gregory Robert Greeson.
Marian had a love to feed people, so the family requests memorials be directed to the Cooperative Community Ministries, Food Bank, P.O. Box 1841, Thomasville, NC 27361.
