It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Hammond of Thomasville, North Carolina, who passed away on April 2, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Williamson, Sr. and Virginia Harris Williamson; and her son Carlton Gray. She is survived by: her husband Harold Hammond; her children, Leonard Gray of High Point, Virginia Tate of Thomasville, Tracy Barr (Preston) of Thomasville and Terry Gray (Jennifer) of Winston-Salem; her brother Ralph Williamson, Jr. of High Point; and her grandchildren, Roderick Bethea, Rene Littlejohn, Andre Laughlin, Kimberly Laughlin, Quentin Gray and Titus Gray. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; five nieces; numerous adopted children and grandchildren she loved.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Lexington Community Cancer Center or Hospice of Davidson County.

“She will really be missed. I remember she had gone home from her busy day praying for the sick. My grandson was real bad off and she told her family she had to go bad and pray for a young man that was almost gone. She came back and found us and she prayed for him and his condition changed right away. I know we would not have him now if she hadn't came back and prayed for him. She was truly a prayer warrior.”
