He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Nail Hiatt; and his siblings, Beverly Reed of Thomasville, Betty Mckiney of Salisbury, Phyllis Atchison of Greensboro, Marvin Hiatt of Kernersville and Donald Hiatt of Murrells Inlet, SC. He is also survived by thirteen stepchildren.
