He is survived by: his children, Marilyn King, Cheryle Phillips (Kenneth) and Lars Levi Atkinson, Jr. (Marsha); his grandchildren, Joshua King, Kassie Cook (Dylan) and Nicole Bodenheimer (Wesley); his great grandchildren, Carlee King, Levi King and Liam Bodenheimer; and his siblings, Shorty Atkinson, Vinnie Atkinson, Donald Atkinson, Nancy Whaley and Rosa Pierce.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery (401 W Holly Hill Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
