He is survived by: his wife Christine Soles Gardner; his children, Angela "Babe" Spears (Tracy) of Lexington, Chris "Spooky" Gardner (Donna) of Denton, Scotty "Root" Gardner of Lexington and John "Johnboy" Gardner of Lexington; his grandchildren, Kendall "DinkDink" Comer (Aaron), Jona "Pipsqueak" Gardner, Jacob "Rooster" Gardner, Lilly "Lillybug" Taylor, Dalton, Tripp, Jaxson, Taylor, Bentley Gallimore, Colt Seawell, Nolan Seawell, Tyler Spears and Brent Spears; his great grandchildren, Cope, Comer, Ellie, Wyatt Seawell and Weston Seawell; and his sisters, Sue (Abernathy), Jean Overby (Wayne) of Lexington and Mary Ellen "Sissy" Equils (Les) of Lexington.
