With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Gentry of Thomasville, North Carolina, born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on March 2, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarence Earl Simpson and Ollie Walker Simpson; her husband Melvin L. Gentry of High Point, NC.; and her children, Judy Gentry Lipina (Art) of Berne, IN, Larry Gentry of Seneca, SC, Dan Gentry (Kathy) of Thomasville, NC and Kathy Ann Gentry Hodges of Spartanburg, SC.. She was also cherished by twelve grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Melvin L. Gentry Ministerial Scholarship Fund.

“Oh how I loved walking with her early. in the morning around the neighbor hood, She loved her family deeply. She shared with me many stories about her family and how the Lord moved in their behalf. I miss those days but I know where she walks today is much better, This morning I was thinking on those times when we walked and talked. I just looked her up and found out that the had entered eternity with her beloved Savior. My condolences to the family, what a legacy she has left for you all.”
