She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester M. Cathey and Mary Louise Johnston Cathey; and her siblings, Gerald Cathey and Justus Cathey. She is survived by: her husband Joe Carpenter; and her son Joe G. Carpenter (Darice) of Gibsonville.
