It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Boyd Swaney (Thomasville, North Carolina), who passed away on September 25, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Curtis Swaney and Minnie Summey Swaney; and his sons, Jerry, Rayford and Ricky Swaney.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Hulin Swaney; his son Wayne Swaney (Linda); his siblings, Edith Small and Troy Swaney; his grandson Shannon Crotts; and his great grandchild Jake Crotts. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Randolph County.
