He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Bennett and Gaye Bennett; his wife Carolyn Ray; and his brother Hugh. He is survived by: his children, Catherine York (Shell) and Ray Bennett (Angela); his grandchildren, Ben York (Caitlin), Shelley Rickman (Matt), Kacey Gustafson (Sean) and Brandon Bennett; his great grandchildren, Graham, Emery York, Davis, Millie Rickman and Goldie Gustafson; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Ray Brown (Owen) and Harriet Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be given to First Presbyterian Church, 21 Randolph Street, Thomasville NC 27360, and to serve the community of your choice.
