It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Parks (Thomasville, North Carolina), born in Waynesville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie "Bill" Parks and Lelia Clementine James Parks; his former wife Doris Ann Parkins Parks; and his siblings, Lizzie Beasley, Doshia Buchanan, Jack Justice, Ernest Justice and Kenneth Parks.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carol Parks; his children, Sharon Parks, Darwin Parks (Laurie) and Penny Lancaster (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Jeremy Phillips (Andrea Fratto), Taylor Parks (Mitchell Boles), Patrick Lancaster, Nathan Parks (Ali) and Jessica Adams (Channin); his great grandchildren, Eva, Joseph and Jamison; and his siblings, Judy Mathews (Harold), Irene Hill, Hilda Ewart, Bobbie Whitaker and Grovene Presnell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
