He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Doby and Ella Doby; his brothers, Donnie and Richard Doby; and his siblings-in-law, Joe, Bobbie, Furman Wilson, Betty Doby, Helen Doby, Helen Wilson, Ginny Wilson and Ruth Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Wilson Doby; his sons, Chris (Tracy) of Thomasville and Patrick (Maggie) of State College, PA.; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan and Ella; and his brothers, Maxie Doby, Sherrill Doby (Lynne) and Paul Doby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Bethel United Methodist Church, 508 Fisher Ferry, Thomasville NC 27360.
