She was predeceased by: her parents, Vann Kanoy and Geneva Kanoy; her former husband Billy B. Laughinghouse; her son Chip Laughinghouse; and her aunts, Virginia and Elizabeth Lawson.
She is survived by: her husband Wilbur; her children, Britt Laughinghouse, Lynn Hodges (Kim) of Greenville and Lisa Woodard (Jerry) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Kelly Hodges (LeighAnn) of Wilmington, NC, Kevin Hodges of Wilmington, NC, Scott Hodges of Arden, NC and Britton Laughinghouse of Greenville; her great grandchildren, Lilleigh Hodges of Wilmington, Jaxson Hodges of Wilmington and Lawson Hodges of Wilmington; her sister Pam Tapp (Jim) of Jefferson, NC; her nephew Jay Tapp (Melissa) of Concord, NC; her stepsons, Irving and John Bennett; and her close friend Max R. Joyner.
