He is survived by: his children, Jackie Moore of Thomasville and David Johnston of High Point; his grandchildren, Drew Ferguson and Jessica Ferguson; his brother Bill Kearns (Sharon); his nephews, Mark Kearns (Ann), Neil Kearns, Bradley Kearns (Caroline), Mark McGuire and Michael McGuire (Belinda); and his niece Megan Kearns.
