He is survived by: his siblings, Goldie, Alfred Thompson, Ronald Thompson and Amarie Kennedy; his children, Mitchell and Carole Thompson of Mooresville, N. C.; his grandchildren, Debbie Kelly (Joe) of Charlotte, N. C., Michael Thompson (Carla) of Raleigh, N. C., Tommy Thompson (April) of Cary, N. C. and John Kelly; his brothers, Don, Lloyd, Harold and James; and his granddaughter Caroline Grace Kelly. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Chapel (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery (401 W Holly Hill Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
