She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Harris and Venie Kinley Harris; her daughter Tonya Marie Koontz; and her brothers, Oscar Harris and Gurney Harris.
She is survived by: her son Steve Koontz of Thomasville; her sisters, Margaret Simmons of Mocksville and Roella Jones of Lexington; and her grandson Ethan Koontz.
