She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Crawford and Lauree Herring Gilmore; and her husband James Junior Gandy. She is survived by: her children, Monica M. Flowers and Dexter Eugene Flowers (Ali) of Clemmons; her siblings, Josephine Stephens of Thomasville, Rev. Mary Dow (Charlie) of Thomasville, Sylvester Gilmore, Jr. of Thomasville, Edward Gilmore of Thomasville, Robert Gilmore (Deborah) of Whissett, Bernard Gilmore of Thomasville and Gerald Gilmore of Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Christian, Cameron, Kayla, Jonathan, Luke and Victoria; and her great grandchildren, Jayden, Gracie, Ava and Xander.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Unity United Methodist Church, 608 National Hwy, Thomasville, NC 27360.
