He is survived by: his wife Polly Mitchell of Thomasville; his sons, Jack Mitchell of Thomasville and Robert Mitchell (Rachael) of Archdale; his brother Virgil Mitchell of West Virginia; and his grandchildren, Jackson Mitchell and Ella Grace Mitchell.
