He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ellis Hege, Sr. and Eunice Pauline Tysinger Hege; his significant other Gloria Jean Gallimore Hege; and his brothers, Henry Ellis Hege, Jr. and Phillip Brian Hege.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Michael Hege (Cheryl Dobbins Hege) of Thomasville and Rexanne Marie Brady (Donald Keith Brady) of Kernersville; his grandsons, Zachary Michael Hege (Jessica Hege) of Trinity, Dylan Michael Hege (Haley Ball) of Thomasville and Eli Eugene Brady of Kernersville; his great grandchildren, McKenzie Grace Hege, Nathan Michael Hege, Peyton Elizabeth Hege and Blake Jean Hege; and his brother Randall Scott Hege (Valerie Hege) of Thomasville. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
