He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnie Austin Hunsucker and Bessie Morris Hunsucker; and his siblings, Flonnie Saunders, Foye Collins, Carlton Hunsucker, Johnny Hunsucker, Conley Hunsucker, Ollie Hunsucker and David Hunsucker.

He is survived by: his partner Lynn Kirkman of Greensboro; his children, Gerald Bradley Hunsucker (Margaret) of Fuquay-Varina, Richard Dolan Hunsucker of Thomasville, Donald Bruce Hunsucker (Brenda Green) of Thomasville and Lori Hunsucker King of Archdale; his grandchildren, Alice Marie Will (Chris), Cassandra Hunsucker, Crystal Michelle Temple (Danny), Richard Bradley Hunsucker, Zackary Bruce Hunsucker (Chloe), Ciara Patel (Henal), Hunter King and Morgan King; and his great grandchildren, Kerrigan Will, Mason Patel and Henry Hunsucker.
