He is survived by: his wife Claudette Bevan; his daughter Juliet Bevan Smith; his stepsons, Rickey Deaton (Brenda) and Jeffrey Deaton; his sister Edith Bevan Grimes; his grandchildren, Claire Smith and William Smith; and his stepgrandchildren, Morgan Whisenant (Chris) and Jordan Nathanial Deaton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
