It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence Highsmith of Thomasville, North Carolina, born in High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on December 23, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anne Royall and William Fletcher Ellis; her husband George Perry; and her brother Robert Ellis. She is survived by: her children, Bill Highsmith (Antoinette), Tom Highsmith and Nancy Highsmith Zirkle (Andy). She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
