She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph York and Carrie Green York; and her siblings, Carroll York of Sylva and Joyce Nuedling of Bryson City. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Ray Hamby, Jr. (Shari) of Indiana, Edward Thomas Hamby (Crystal) of High Point, Michael Lee Hamby (Donna) of Thomasville and Debbie Sue Combs of Thomasville; and her siblings, Walter York of Franklin, David York of Bryson City and Dana Lupo (Roy) of Goose Creek. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
