Elsie Estell Clodfelter Bowers Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie Estell Clodfelter Bowers of Thomasville, North Carolina, born in Davidson, North Carolina, who passed away on July 26, 2020 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roby M. Clodfelter and Flora Shoaf Clodfelter; her spouse Gurlie H. Bowers; her grandchildren, Miranda B. Proctor (Sid, III), Jeff Bowers (Catherine), Angela Davis (Ronnie), Guhi Bowers (Jennifer), Gary Bowers (Kristy), Tonya S. Boyd (Bob Boyd) and Quinn Sipe; and her sister Nellie C. Swicegood. She was also cherished by eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, a private graveside service, at which only immediate members of her family will attend, will be held at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery, on Clodfelter Road, with Rev. Bob Boyd officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
