He was predeceased by: his father William Kelse Johnson; and his siblings, Dale Johnson, Clay Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Enos Johnson, Oris Johnson, Bruce Johnson, Jetta Allen and Glennie Metcalf.
He is survived by: his wife Joanna Allen Johnson; his daughter Lana Mainor (Benny) of Thomasville; his granddaughter Jennifer Gunter (Shane) of Pinehurst; his great grandchildren, Courtney B Gunter and Reagan E. Gunter; his stepgranddaughter Michelle Garrett (Steven); his stepgreat-granddaughter Hayley Garrett; and his grandsons, Curtis, Briggs and Jamie Labban. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
