She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Hicks, Jr.; her daughter Sharon; her grandson Bryn; her siblings, Agnes Webb and Lester Marvin Smith; and her parents, Flossie Bailey and William Mark Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Burton (Lawrence) of Thomasville, Martha Rorex (Wayne) of Thomasville, Charles Kirby (Samaria) of Thomasville, David (Sylvia) of Thomasville, Janet Spencer (Mark) of Randleman, Lisa Hilton (Eddie "Chic") of Lexington, Mark "Dunar" (Gina) and Sherri Harris (David) of Trinity; her grandchildren, Jonathan Hilton, Jeff Burton (Janet), Jeremy Burton, Tricia Fergerson (Michael), Scott Rorex (Kim), Kristy Duffy (Heyward), Angela Coppley (Chad), Sharon Allard (Jesse), Stephanie Henderson (Stephen), Stacey Bagwell (Josh), Jennifer Andrews (Moses), Brianna Arevalo (Kevin), Ellyson Hicks, Alicia Bayse and Andrea Johnson (Jackie); her great grandchildren, Kari, Emily, Brandon, Anna, Elijah Cole, John Robert, Hayden, Kylee, Nathan, Josh, Luke, Miles, Ashton, Bryson and Camila; and her nephew Johnny Webb (Clarice).
