He was predeceased by: his father Harold Hughes; and his brother Jerry Hughes. He is survived by: his mother Betty Hunt Reeder; his son Eric Hughes (Britany Strickland); his siblings, Brian Reeder (Crystal) and Lora Woodmansee; his grandchildren, Eli Hughes, Natalee Hughes and Caroline Hughes; his uncle Jimmy Hunt (Gina); his aunt Judy Dellinger (Dennis); his nephew Bradley Garrett; his niece Amber Foster; and his pet Blackjack. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials should be directed to David's son, Eric to assist with funeral expenses.
