He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hancock and Elsie Summey Hancock; his wife Mary Elizabeth Kindley Hancock; and his siblings, Vinson Hancock, Wade Hancock, John Hancock, Bobby "Ace" Hancock, Thelma Bowers and Treva Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Gallimore and Roy Bryan Hancock of Thomasville; his sister Martha Faye Kindley; his grandchildren, Brandon Hancock, Brad Hancock, David Gallimore and Aiden Gallimore; and his great grandchildren, Kainin Hancock, Brielle Hancock, Natalie Hancock, Ethan Hancock and Haleigh Hancock.
