He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Brown and Lena Allred Brown; and his siblings, Bertha Brown, Edna Hodgin, Ruth Ingold, Gladys Herlocker, Violet Cox and Luther Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy B. Brown; his sons, Russell Brown of Randleman and Stephen Brown (Nancy) of Charlotte; his brother David Brown of Randleman; his grandchildren, Joshua Brown (Gini) of Charlotte, Zachary Brown, Michaela Brown of Edinburgh and Scotland; and his great grandchild Lincoln Maverick Brown.
