Clyde Lee Vickers Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2025, at the age of 73, Clyde Lee Vickers of Thomasville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Clyde Lee may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Clyde Lee touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edith Elliott Vickers and Edsel "Bobby" Vickers; his pet Smokey (Ramona Fowler Vickers); his children, Melissa Vickers of Jamestown and Brian Vickers of Miami; his grandchildren, Davis Bryant of Raleigh and Thomas Bryant of Chapel Hill; his brother Terry Vickers of Thomasville; and his nephew Elliott Vickers of Trinity.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 27 High Tech Blvd, Thomasville, NC 27360.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that you make a donation to your choosing of Samaritans Purse or Saint Jude Children Research Hospital in his name.

“Ramona and Family, we are very sorry to hear of Clyde’s passing. He was a good man. I always enjoyed playing golf with him, Brian, Tim Gordon, and Bunk Nichols. Clyde’s friendship helped me get through the loss of my younger brother. Clyde is with his Savior and friends who preceded him to heaven. May your memories of him bring you comfort and peace.
