He is survived by: his children, Paula Peters (Tony) of Thomasville, Ellen Callahan (Greg) of Lexington, Rita Manning of Lexington and Claude "Raymond" Widener, Jr. (Lynn) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Ginger Taylor (Craig), Josh Widener, Brandon Widener (Brandy), Jonathan Mitchell (Neta), Jody Strickland, Stephanie Manning, Joanna Hollifield (Phillip) and Tommy Manning (Krista); his stepgrandsons, Tony Peters, Anthony Peters and Ethan Brown; his half-siblings, Edward Widener of Hillsborough and Betty Widener of Florida; and his stepsister Deloris Bacon (Leland) of Virginia. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
