He was predeceased by: his father Winfield Finney; and his siblings, Earl Finney, Carl Finney, Gene Finney, Harold Finney, Gladys Hart and Lorene Garris.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Fouts Finney; and his daughters, Jane Payne and Shirley Lang (Joe). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Davidson County Animal Shelter, 490 Glendale Road Lexington, NC 27292.
